Which Ticket is Right for Me?

We have a flowchart which may help you decide, too!

Corporate Concierge Service

For companies buying 3+ tickets in one go, the Corporate Concierge Service offers a convenient way to buy multiple Contributor level tickets under one single invoice. You may not yet know who's coming to PyCon AU, but want to reserve seats at the conference and tutorials before they sell out. Don't worry! Send us an email to sponsorship@pycon-au.org, and we'll take care of it. You'll receive fully-paid vouchers your delegates can use to register at their own pace. Reserve your seats now, register later!

Contributor

The Contributor ticket is designed for those who wish to attend PyCon Australia 2017 as a Professional delegate, as well as supporting the conference by contributing financially. In recognition of this support, the Contributor’s logos and links are published on the Sponsors page, and will be acknowledged during conference plenaries. Find out more!

Professional

The Professional ticket is our all-access pass to the conference. This rate applies to most people who have their companies pay the conference fees, or for individuals who can otherwise afford to support the conference at this level.

Enthusiast

The Enthusiast rate is heavily discounted for Python enthusiasts who are paying out of their own pockets and would otherwise find it difficult to attend.

Specialist Day

This ticket is for people who only want to attend one of our Specialist Day tracks on the Friday, it does not include access to the main conference days.

Student

This rate is reserved for secondary or tertiary students. PyCon Australia offers this rate as a form of investment in the future of the Python community.

When you arrive at PyCon Australia 2017, a valid student ID card or proof of enrolment must be presented to the check-in desk. Any Student who cannot provide this will be required to pay the difference in fees between the Student rate and the Enthusiast rate.

Extras

Tutorials

For the first time PyCon Australia is hosting tutorials! In order to maximise interaction with your teachers, numbers are strictly limited. Please note, the Bayesian inference and machine learning tutorial has SOLD OUT.

Child Care

PyCon Australia 2017 is able to provide professional child care at a standard rate this year. Please select the days you wish to make use of this service, and we'll be in touch with you closer to the conference. The deadline to apply is 20 July.

T-Shirts

PyCon Australia 2017 will use a mixture of Gildan Heavy Cotton and Gildan Ultra Cotton t-shirts. Sizing and style information is available on our t-shirts page.

T-Shirts are available only for for purchases finalised by 23:59 on Monday 3rd July 2017, Australian Eastern Daylight Time.

Sprints

Sprint days are an attempt to bring a physical dimension to working on software projects, instead of using the Internet to mediate you can use coffee! We provide the work area and WiFi; you can work on your own projects, or join in with someone else.

Please note that the sprints are at a different venue with limited capacity, and tickets may sell out.
